Before Session 1
Four things to finish.
Install Claude Desktop on a Claude Pro plan
Cowork needs a paid Claude plan—Pro starts at $20/month, billed by Anthropic and not included in your seat—and the desktop app for Mac or Windows. Install and sign in before the session rather than when the live room opens.
Confirm Cowork access
Open Claude and confirm that Cowork is available on the account and machine you will use. Product availability changes quickly, so check it again in the week of the session; we will flag any change in the attendee email.
Make a safe practice folder
Add five to ten ordinary, non-sensitive files: sample PDFs, notes, or documents you are comfortable using in a live exercise. Do not use confidential company or client material.
Your pre-flight test
Run this once before showtime.
Open your practice folder in Cowork and paste the prompt exactly as written. Success means you receive five bullet points describing the folder without changing its contents.
Copy / paste
Look at the files in this folder. Tell me what is here, in five bullet points.Run this test the day before, not an hour before. Claude usage limits are shared across its products, so a heavy session earlier the same day can leave you throttled during the live hour.

You do not need to purchase ChatGPT for Session 1. Codex is a watch-only demonstration. Connectors are optional and should never be authenticated for the first time during the live room.
